An opportunity is available for a University of Guelph graduate research assistant (GRA) to work remotely at the Live Work Well Research Centre (LWWRC) from January 13 to March 31, 2026.
This past August, Sukaina Dada released her latest book Untold Stories of Disablement and Displacement: Syrian refugees in Canada, which provides a raw view of the experiences of Syrian refugees with disabilities. This book shines a light on stories of migration and disability that are often brushed aside in academic research and public discussions. Dada explores how refugees leaving their homes amidst violence, poverty, and persecution are misrepresented by the dominant narrative, while their true stories go unnoticed and overshadowed.
