The Sexual and Gender Diversity cluster at the LWWRC explores themes of sexuality, gender, sex, and relationships. It studies the intersections of topics in their many unique forms, and how they connect to families, work, and wellbeing. This cluster highlights the diverse forms sexual and gender identities can take, seeking to guide individuals towards improved wellbeing through high-quality and value-driven research, teaching, mentorship, and community engagement.
Adam Davies (they/them) is one of the co-leads of the Sexual and Gender Diversity cluster. They are also an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies, and the Graduate Program Coordinator for the Genders, Sexualities, and Bodies program at the University of Guelph. Their research focuses on social justice, equity, and anti-oppressive practices in educational and schooling spaces, often highlighting issues tied to 2SLGBTQIA children and youth, madness, and disability justice.
