The Storied Lives Project will be setting up a booth at the annual LISPOP (Laurier Institute for the Study of Public Opinion and Policy) Forum event on October 20th! Dr. Leah Levac, co-leader of the Displacements, Emergence and Change cluster, will be there to give you an opportunity to listen to the podcasts or discuss the Storied Lives initiatives about poverty and housing.

Storied Lives is a partnered initiative by the Displacements, Emergence and Change cluster with the Live Work Well Research Centre and the Guelph & Wellington Task Force for Poverty Elimination. The Displacements, Emergence and Change cluster focuses on building inclusive cities, communities, towns and governance models to respond to displacements that result from resource extraction, living wages, and other broad socioeconomic and political shifts and challenges.

Through the Storied Lives project, Live Work Well brings attention to the differing perspectives on poverty, and the political and social changes that affect poverty in Ontario. It does this through storytelling and making critical issues such as poverty understandable from a different and more humanizing perspective.

The LISPOP event will take place October 20th, 2023, at Wilfrid Laurier's Waterloo Campus, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
